Janet grew up in Cambridgeshire. The professor was a friend of her parents, her “honorary” uncle. His stories inspired her to want to write, and he encouraged this and helped provide access to various sources. Now 24 and a published author, she is traveling, accompanied by a maid and an older aunt (for propriety sake), to personally see new places and have more experience of possible settings for future books.
